Asher Roth Gives His Thoughts On Hip Hop And Its' Exploitation (Video)

The man knows what he speaks of... Asher Roth sat down with RealTalkNYVideo to discuss Hip Hop and it's exploitation over the years. "Labels trying to be artists" this sounds awfully familiar. It's a sign of the times folks. The consumers have the the power via internet and all these other sources that easily reach out to millions of people to demand what they want. Is this the beginning of a new era where multi-billion dollar corporations yield at the mercy of the people? Interesting, please share your thoughts...

Great point! the power of the people can out number anything. the media these days make it seem impossible to do but it isnt. history tells us the greatest achievements and CHANGE came through organized protest by the people for the people. just look at lupe's thing, they released lasers aint they?

its funny how ppl down Asher roth but hes actually keeping hip hop alive with his music. Props to roth, dope interview.

i agree. think that as the future moves along more people are going to become connect using the internet and its going to be a scary thing for the corporations trying to dumb us down and keep us separated.

without people, there is nothing. even a company is made of people. so, of course the society has an upper hand on organizations. people have always had the power to spread the word and stand up for what they believe in. if a company really did have the guts to ignore civil obedience, they would easily go out of business from bad public image and loss of consumers.
