MTV has just narrowed down its list for Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010 to 5 candidates. We don't know exactly which MC's are in the top 5, but what we do know is that Nicki Minaj will be one of those candidates according to MTV. Previously, the list held about 20 members with artists such as J. Cole, Jay Electronica, and Wiz Khalifa. Im curious to see where our most trusted name in music, MTV, ranks these MC's in comparison to Nicki Minaj. No disrespect to Nicki but seriously MTV get it straight.

It's a ridiculous popularity contest. In terms of rapping, Jay Electronica should get the #1 spot with J Cole in #2.
Drake over all is a no brainer, J cole is good but hasnt proven himself at all and jay elec is just another wanna be i spit consenious lyrics rapper.
