Kanye West Talks Inspiration For His New Album (Video)
Kanye West seems to be in a good mood these days. Mr. West made a surprise visit to Rolling Stone and talked about his inspiration for his upcoming album. He also made a good point when he said that all our favorite MC's are "underground" nowadays.. He then went on to preview the album for Rolling Stone, playing a dozen tracks from Good Ass Job or what ever the name of the album is going to be called. Kanye needs to drop a leak via twitter since he's having so much fun right now.

According to CKHID.com, it's been reported by industry insiders that rapper Wiz Khalifa has officially signed with Atlantic Records. Actually putting his ink on the dotted line weeks ago, his last project independently will be "Kush and Orange Juice." When asked about signing with Atlantic Records, Wiz Khalifa said "Whatever people want it to be, that's what it is. I didn't say yes, I didn't say no." New Michael Jackson Album Due For November, To Feature 10 New Songs
An all-new Michael Jackson collection featuring 10 unreleased songs will be released this November, a rep for the Jackson estate exclusively tells Rolling Stone. At the time of his death Jackson reportedly left hard drives filled with unheard music, much of it recorded during the King of Pop’s ’80s peak.
Jackson’s manager Frank DiLeo told RS that he estimates that Jackson’s vaults contain more than 100 completed and unreleased songs, including collaborations with Akon, Will.i.am and Ne-Yo. ”There are a couple of songs we recorded for the Bad album that we had to cut that are just sensational,” DiLeo said.
As Rolling Stone previously reported, the album of never-before-heard Jackson songs will be the first in a 10-project, seven-year deal the Jackson estate inked with Sony Music in March 2010 — a $250 million pact that will also include reissues of Jackson’s classic albums, new greatest hits sets, a DVD collection of all Michael’s music videos and possibly a Cirque du Soleil show. ~MSNBC

Common Cast For Role In New TV Drama
XXL reports that Com Sense has been cast in the AMC network’s forthcoming drama series Hell on Wheels, a show that will center on the building of the Transcontinental Railroad. Common is set to play the role of Elam, a half black, half white, freed slave hoping to find work. According to deadline.com, he is the first person to be cast in the Western.
“Common brings a layered intensity to a very complex role,” said Joel Stillerman, the network’s VP of programming. “This part required someone who can transcend the stereotypes of the period and bring the character to life in a truly unique way, and he brings that.”

Lupe On The 'Lasers Petition': "For Me It's A Wake Up; The Building, A Wake Up" (Audio)
Lupe called into BBC 1Xtra radio to chat with DJ Semtex. The main subject was about the Lasers petition, where over 10,000 fans signed a petition to urge Atlantic Records to release the album. In the interview Lupe said "for me, it's a wake up, the building (Atlantic Records) a wake up" Well, hopefully its a big wake up call, never in the history of the music industry has a petition with over 10,000 fans has been made. Look for Lupe to be more aggressive with Atlantic over the past few weeks in trying to get this release. The fans have spoken. Release Lasers.
